Description
|
|
This square is characterised by the big flight of steps of Trinitą dei Monti, built in the XVIII century, at whose foot lays the elegant Fountain of Barcaccia by Pietro Bernini.
On the top of the flight of steps you can see an Egyptian obelisk, behind which stands the Church of Santa Trinitą dei Monti built in 1495. The area is famous all over the world for the presence of numerous boutiques of "made in Italy": Armani, Versace, Valentino, are only some of the names you can find walking on Piazza di Spagna and the elegant Via Condotti.
Since some years ago, the flight of steps has become the theatre of fashion parades in Rome.
From Piazza di Spagna you can arrive, by walking up the flight of steps, to the panoramic terrace of Pincio, from which you can enjoy one of the most suggestive views on the city. |
